WHY WAS THIS CAMPAIGN BORN?

We need that with the masks we ALL take the rest

EIt is vitally important to our planet that we all do a little bit of our part. And with the disposal of the masks we have a problem. You can see it in this 2 min video.

"Our mission is for everyone to learn how to properly dispose of a used mask."

Javier Infante - Co-founder of Echa El Resto Campaign

We saw the problem

At the end of 2020 we began to investigate the damage that masks not disposed of correctly do to the planet and we decided to act

We did the homework

We put the batteries together and designed a strategy to be able to take our message to all corners of the world, starting with our country

We looked for collaborators

From the beginning we wanted to associate with the media, companies, environmental entities, and influencers ... because unity is strength.

The ECHA EL RESTO team

Every day that passes we are more of us who are part of this great project, but for you to put a face to some of us, here we are

DATA

More masks than jellyfish in the sea

As can be seen in this El Mundo report, at least 1.56 billion masks ended up in the sea in 2020. We can stop this by throwing the mask into the "non-organic residue" container. It is vital that we all make an effort. And with the masks, let's take the rest.

  • Cut off the handles of the mask
  • Put it in a separate bag
  • Put it in the "non-organic rest" container.
